Apart from the fact that a lot of 1 piece barrels are not the same bore size along the entire length. The glued boomsticks used a generic front section like the newer screw togthers (i think) and only varied in the back bore.
And even if they were the same bore throughout, it's a lot cheaper and easier to swap barrel backs acording to paint fit than it is the entire barrel.
