On field Chrono... Intresting

I have been reading about what happened in Toulouse and it sounds very strange that someone would use one chrono onto the field and then a completly different one on the field.... There can be differences in accuracy as they would not have been calabrated to the same speed... (just like police speed guns)

If this is to become a rule and used at all major events then I would suggest that the organizers buy new chronos and keep the to one for each field and have one judge who does the chronoing... This way there can be no arguments about bias or cheating on anyones part..... Same judge same chrono = the same result...

What do you think.....

I agree that the same chrono should be used for checking/setting your gun as is used before you play! either that or if the field chrono says your hot you should be allowed to test the gun at the original chrono.

I would have to say that having the chance to go over a second chrono off field sort of makes the whole point of on field chronoing pointless.....This is why I say that the same chrono should be used on and off the filed..... If you go hot in the field over the same chrono that was there for you to set your gun by then you gun is not working properly or your trying to cheat on purpose.... Giving someone a second chance over a different chrono after there gun is not being used in play is stupid....

I think the point I'm getting at is the same as what you're saying! The problem is it aint gonna happen, my point is that if you set your gun up at 1 chrono and that says your legal then its hardly fair that the field chrono can pull you out. there should just be 1 but imagine the q's

There should be one chrono for each field and that should be the on field one aswell..... This is then the ONE that you chrono onto the field with and you get checked with on the field... This should stop all bollox that is players saying "Its a different chrono I WANT MY MUM"... You ge the pic....

i think he means to have one chrony section next to each of the fields of play and u then get checked on that chrony after or before game.

what gun u got know paul?

well if thats what he means then I full aggree but can imagine it actually working? imagine at a site like skirmish having a chrono station by every field, yeah right, that'll happen!!!

I think you are missing what I mean...

1. Each field should have a chrono judge.
2. Each fileld should have a chrono.
3. All players onto field go over this chrono.
4. The chrono judge carrys the chrono around the field and other judges can ask the chrono judge to chrono any player on the field.
5. This means knowone can complain about the chrono.
6. Should stop cheating.
