Some fun stuff there, including the legendary Speedball field at SAS Maidenhead that was an example of the 80's/90's precursor to Hyperball and then Supair. The 'mugging' pic over the straw bales (ah, bale fields:rolleyes) created a lot of controversy at the time with a lot of people saying how dangerous such behaviour was, seems kind of funny now.
Just a couple more from the same late 80's/early 90's period, then it's time for a move into the mid 90's and yes, might just see a few of our heroes looking all fresh faced and innocent before paintball took it's toll
Some of the golden days of UK paintball, the gun choice was basically Mag or Cocker with a few Golden Eagles thrown in. Teams like the Predators, Nam and Shockwave were killing everybody, semis were now the norm and the Banzais all looked young and clean-cut.
The plywood triangles were Arenaball, the Skirmish franchise's attempt at a concept field that could be set up anywhere years before Supair. The lack of variety and being a bit before it's time killed it but the first Arenaball event looked very like a modern tourney with netted fields allowing spectators and an emphasis on attracting lots of outside interest which never really materialised
