Hey guys for Christmas I am spending all of my money on paintball stuff and I was wondering to get an Ion, Wrath, Promaster or an old angel such as a used angel speed (older one), angel 4s and angel Ir3s can you tell me the ups and downs of the angels(reliability, efficiency, accuracy ,speed, and most importantyl if these angels have eyes, if the angels dont have eyes I am not intrested, but I would reaaly appreciate it if you guys would help me out.

Thanks,
Mike

And try some guns out..

Angel are no better or worse than any other gun it comes down to playing style and preference..

Ions are good buttare a bit difficult to repair and maintain yourself and i believe they should be returned to S.parts instead (Only hearsay)

The wrath is unknown but when i asked about it a certain well known gun tech said it will probally wipe the floor with everything else in its price range and is much easier to maintain than a Ion

E blading your cocker might be a good option as Ive stoped using my angels(led . Ir3 and A4) to play with a Eblade.

Try to stick with 1 or the Big 7 (ego . angel . Timmy . shocker . Ion . Matrix. Eblade) as spares , advice and upgrades will be cheap and plentifull

The older 'high pressure angels' have less kick than the new ones, they are more efficient and more accurate at high rates of fire, however they are slightly harder on paint (but no more so than say a shocker).

The newer angels are lighter and have anti chop eyes which let you shoot faster without chopping, but they also have the 'opto' lever instead of a microswich which makes the trigger feel like sponge.

The great advantage to the newer angels is that you can put a newton valve on them. Coupled with a decent regulator this upgrade reduces the kick considerably and a decent reg will help it shoot ropes.

Ions are the simplest gun out there on the market - 99% of problems are battery-related, and even the Village idiot could strip and rebuild one.

I dont agree with that, Ions are a pain in the arse because they require complete disasembly to get to anything.

For example, I have been given an Ion (to fix) where the solenoid is continually 'open'.

Is it battery related, or am I coincidentally in the other 1%

EDIT: See the guy below who broke a banjo fitting removing the grip frame, the way the body separates is horrible.

The gun was designed by a village Idiot that is for certain.

So how many times have you ever seen a ion break ?

taking out a few allen screws to take it apart is hardly a major task . i've had an ion and it was a great gun espcially for the money . but saying that i sold mine to get a angel nothing wrong with the ion just prefer the quality of angels
