Maybe not enough there for 6 pages however.
There would be enough there to fill the magazine... for a few months. But it might only appeal to the tech heads after a certain depth.

Can anyone here (apart from Robbo :D) honestly say they see no differance between different markers?
I think this kinda article would sell big if done correctly, for instance be done inside take away as many variences as possible, and of course some nice hi-speed pics :D

Or am I just a sad tech head??

I'm a tech head...

Paul, it's the kind of article I've often thought about writing. I've certainly been priveleged to see enough test results, read and seen enough info, and posted enough about it all on the net over the years. I've been in a lot of discussions about this topic also.

The more I see and the more I am involved with, the longer I think the article has to be to get everything across fairly. And ultimately it comes down to a personal preference because if the user can't make it perform the rest is worth jack ;)

Trouble is to be able to back up everything that can/should be said it would take a big article, it would also require some resources to do a definitive benchmark/study.

I do think there are differences in set ups and systems with some having advantages over others... but I'm not convinced anything is more important than the 'nut at the butt' :) ... apart from consistency that is... ;) :D

I have no doubt that the majority is down to the user, it'd be great to finally and definitivly proove/disprove the myths though wouldn't it!

but this little divergence might turn into the royal rumble.
For all the yammering about science and physics you will note that most of the posters will ad somewhere in the discussion the caveat of all factors being equal or something to that effect however, the point is the pure science of it is NEVER replicated in actual practice and different markers do produce variances from the scientifically indisputable "facts" and those variances tend to be the product, at least in part, of the operating principles at work in the different types of markers. Hence all the arguments over the subject as most players, as has also often been stated, "know" what they "see" and it doesn't seem to jibe with science argument.
OK, geeks, bring it. :D
