OH great, paintball got on TV then

Here in the US, paintball is portrayed like that on TV constantly. King of Queens and Baywatch, both have had paintball in episodes that were on during primetime, and showed players running around wearing no masks, acting like commandos. Jackass has had three or four stunts involving paintball, including a paintball duel (can't remember if the players wore masks) and something where they shot the hell out of some guy dressed like a chicken. Those images are, of course, not what paintball is like at all, but those are the images that the public sees and bases their un-informed opinions on. So it is really a detrement to the sport when paintball is portrayed in such an un-true manner.

watched it las night, there was a few cases of no mask's.
But these guys run each other over - its not going to give paintball a bad rep cause they certainley aint role-models.

my mother wasn't to impressed and she came and watched me at the indoor (only game we won by the way). she enjoyed the indoor and remarked on how the safety was a big issue with loads of netting but when she saw the dirty sanchez thing she was pretty livid at how ppl could be so stupid.

anyway dirty sanchez are a load of wannabes aint they?!?!

Not so much the Sanchez lot that bothered me, they aren't meant to be role-models, it was the site staff, standing behind them on RISE without masks.

With the P8ntball duel the players had masks on but none of the rest of the crew did so if a ball missed the "duelers" then they could have been up creeks with out paddles.

They also did a cover for rolling stone mag where Johnny is tied to a big target and 3 guys with Cockers start shooting him. The reason they used cockers. He only had sunglasses on and the guys firing had no goggles either. He could only stand it for 10 seconds or so and the welts were hideous. Again they were around the groin guess where they were told to aim.

Those weren't Cockers. They were Spyders and perhaps some other blowbacks, but definitely no Cockers. I can send you the clip if you want.

Also, last night was the naked paintball on the second half of Dirty Sanchez. It was at the Warped Sports, Cosford site. It was very funny cos i had seen the pics on Warped Sports web page, but not the telly version! VERY funny that one was, and ALL the Warped guys had masks on!!!!!

I thought it was spyders for the duel and cockers for the photo shoot. but send the clip you have to tomlangston@godalming.ac.uk and it be cool to see. (what format is the clip?)
