INFO

The try outs will be held at Russian Legion training facilities not far from the center of Moscow, 40 minutes drive from the airport. The try outs will go through the entire weekend so you need to plan at least a 3-4 days trip. You will participate in a regular 5 hour team training routine. If you still retain some energy, you will have time for sightseeing.
Our coaches will make a decision after these practices.
We will provide you with the apartment (5 minutes walking distance to the RL base).
You will have to pay for the round trip flight, transfer from and to the airport ($40), visa (around $80) and paintballs that you will consume ($35-50 per case depending on the brand).
Those who are interested please send your resume to admin@russianlegion.ru . Also please answer the following questions in the resume:

1. your age, height and weight, place of residence.
2. how many years have you been playing paintball, what teams have you played for?
3. what positions have you been playing in (and which one do you prefer)
4. how many times can you do the exercise of press-up (within 1 minute).
5. how long does it take you to run 20 yards (for example 3.05 seconds)
6. how many times can you do the exercise of sit-up (within 1 minute).

sweet dude

when i went basically, you get set up and everything, then they start by making you do a 10min lap around the xball field, followed by checking your pulse etc to see how you're coping. Then we did warm up exercises like stretching.
Then you do a sprint of 20yards i think it was, and they time how fast you can do it.
Then we praciced Sweet spotting and breakout:

one person one end of the field, the other person opposite ends, the one tries to sweetspot a bunker, the opposite person has to get in without being shot.

after this they looked on how fast we could shoot both handed but mainly to see how we swapped the marker into different hands.

thennnn, we practised snap shooting, taking it in turns being in a small and bunker and then a tall.

after each part players would get cut...

i got cut after the snap shooting, so there were only 3 people left to go on and i believe they practised 2 on 1's, to see how the one could push up...

hope this helps
Tom

Anyone who wants to try out for the Russians go for it.

You should know that you do need to be in fairly good physical shape and your ability fairly high-its not a easy try out at all but i dont wish to disuade you but just prepare you for it.

Most people have fast guns now in the UK,but if your marker is not up to speed with a Timmy,DM4/5,New Angel etc i would get hold of one for the try out-Halo if possible and all the kit you need to play-dont expect them to lend you as they do not have much spare kit.

Its an opportunity in a lifetime and i can say honestly i had the best year of my life so far.

Theres nothing to loose in trying out-if you do you'll probaly stay at my place-im not a very good cook, bring lots of money to eat out.
