I was especially pleased to see Baca Loco onscreen, since that now obviates his excuse that taking his picture steals his soul...even after being on videotape for several seconds, I detected no missing soul in Paul when I spoke with him this past Sunday...he was his usual self.
Of course, this assumes he had a soul to begin with...

It was the installing a bit torrent program that confused me i never got as far as downloading the film.

Oh well, doesn't sound like i missed much, but that was part of why i wanted to see it.

Was that with Azeureus?

Cos it can be tricky to install if you dont have the java virtual machine already.

I use ABC
It has a nice windows installer and you pretty much cant go wrong when installing it.

Then you just open the .torrent file you downloaded and it starts downloading...

Jeez that took forever to download.

I'm only half way through it but i reckon its ok. Yeah there are things that need polishing, but other than that i like it.

Actually it has put me a lot more i favour of X-ball. I still don't like the idea of a branded format being universally accepted, as it seems like we are giving ownership of the sport to someone. But i can now see why everyone is so excited about x-ball (bit slow huh :p )

I still have my doubts, inc stuff like cost and logistics, but its a lot less clear cut than i used to think.

I'd definatley tune in to the NXL next season if it is broadcast.

Well, I finally got around to watching it and I actually thought, for a first stab it was great.

I don't know why you are all slating it so bad. I am no fan of either of the teams in the final but I was really routing for Strange.

At least with x-ball the score keeps you interested, unlike 7 man when even when you know what's going on, you don't actually know what's going on ;)

Good luck to them I say, that's how it needs to be, two teams, head to head for an hour, with plenty of breaks for me to make a nice cup of earl grey and enjoy the carnage :)

After i actually sat down and watched the whole thing through (I only watched the first 15 mins last time i posted) i actually got a little bored. Not hugely, just a little.

I don't think it was the repeatitiveness of xball rather that i couldn't actually follow the plays. I reckon this could be fixed with post play explainations, like someone suggested. Althought the fact that we all knew after about 5 plays that the AA's were going to win, didn't help.

Still reckon its good thought, but the need for improvement was more apparent as it went on, and also i don't reckon it was the best match-up of teams to showcase televisation of x-ball.

But appears that the ratings went well.

Really - please give us your sources cos no ****er is saying anything at the moment and we made a New Year's Resolution not to just make **** up this year.*

*That is obviously a blatant lie. Sorry.
