Second, there are some significant differences between divisional Xball field designs and NXL fields that almost nobody discussing this seems to take into account. In LA the field will not be advantageous to Boston.
I don't think it's a problem as the EXL used NXL field designs last year (unless the field design has changed dramatically this year).

One possible weakness (if they have one) is that they have played EXL and divisional X with 7-8 players. For NXL I think they need two full lines as the games are much longer and the competition harder. They have relied on their key players playing back to back games. Are they able to keep doing that?

Motivation could be one thing too, especially at the first round. NXL teams are hungry to play them! I hope the russians are equally motivated.

I think they'll win 3/4 at the first round. Top 4 team at the end of the season.

We had full-length NXL-regulation games last year in EXL but it is true that Division X Ball in PSP is less than half the length of NXL/EXL.

But your point is right: they need more players than last year.

Legion will own NXL this season, I aint sayin there not gonna drop a game because they probably will drop 1 or 2 in the whole season, but I can see them winning the NXL this year and every year after that, untill other teams can start training 5+ days a week.

Chicago wins their first game against Boston, I believe it was 11 to 10. Chicago was up by 3 towards the end of the game, Russians made a run the end, but it wasn't enough. Chicago played very well.

Well it took them 2 games to get a win and 4 games to get 20 on a team. They should finish in the top 3 this season but remember there are 3 more glorified practices till the actual tourny in Oct so well see if the other NXL team step up and comit themselves the way Boston dose and try to finish first.

People keep on talking how the regular season don't mean anything. How are the playoffs done in NXL this year?

It would be more interesting if the eight best teams would go forward and the last two would be dropped without any games in World Cup, it would make the regular season to count. Last years elimination round between 8th and 9th seeds before the actual playoffs was pretty pointless and I felt it was made up to give everybody some games.
