Not 100% sure how it's gonna work this year but there should be an area for the generals in base camp. Usually on your way out each time you come back to resupply it's worth simply asking 'I want to get up close and harm some people, where shall I go?' Often at NvS you habitually keep going back to the same areas but this year the site is huge so if you know that one area is longballing dullness have a walk and see what else you can find. Find out what the objectives are and head that way.
I hope they've put more major objectives around the larger map area, otherwise I will be one bored 'baller. Came back only the one time last year (needed bacon) - but I have heard that there are more transports this year, which might get me close to some action this year!

I think what I'm going to go for is paint around the Marblizer/Druid/Advantage/4-Star range. Last year, shooting Gold, I had a fair few bounces. Plus, I was only in 3 skirmishes the entire day (stopped playing after being overshot to hell, otherwise I would have gone mental and physically hurt someone), so I spent far too much time longballing. Any tips for finding the firefight?
to find I fire fight this year I have 2 tips. :)

1. head to the checkpoint which has the multiplier bonus on it at that time
2. take the transport to the heart of the battle

oh and take a lot of paint :)

Paint carrying capacity.... 13 pods plus a full pinokio. Lots of paint ain't a problem :)

I've got the map in front of me at this very moment. What I can figure out is:

Checkpoint 1 - x3 points per minute if we capture it, but only from 10:30-11:30
Checkpoint 3 - something happens at 11
Checkpoint 2 - x3 points per minute if we capture it, but only from 11:30-12:30
Checkpoint 4 - something happens at 12
Checkpoint 3 - x3 points per minute if we capture it, from 1300-1400
Checkpoint 1 - something at 1400
Checkpoint 4 - final battle (x5 points) at 1500-1600

So - how do the transports work? How big (in a measuarble distance) is each game area? How do I get from one place to another in a easy span of time, because, in general, I am fairly lazy and don't like running long distances (plus, ye olde knee injury stops me from running over 3 miles)

the transport run from the safe zone to each area! and the zone on the multiplier has extra transports going to it! so in essence should be bigger playing area and less walking to the battlefield! :)

sounds like you have enough paint for some serious gun fights!

much more transport this year! we are working hard on the transport side of things to get people to the action
How about the respawn points? I only saw a few of those too - the vast majority of what I saw (on both sides) was people got hit, went perhaps 30 paces (so, out of the action, or round a corner), wiped it off, waited a minute or so and were back

As far as paint capacity - let's just say that thisis one of my few actual games this year. Might as well make it epic.

Well, I hope it works out!

Side note - storing paint. I'll be bringing a case or two with me - best way to store them due to the unpredictable nuances of British weather?
