blue light is indicating the NT's board bootup sequence. Once booted up, led should turn red/green depending on whether something is in the breech or not.

if it does not get past the blue led, then the board sounds like it is on its way out (assuming you are 100% sure that it is not a battery related issue).

however, having just re-read your post more carefully, you said the board was flashing blue then fading....that is a sure sign of a battery-related issue.

are you sure that your procells are fresh?

I read in the manual that if it flashes blue then it needs a new battery, but these are brand new fresh procell batteries

yes I know, I will buy some more procells and see if that helps, might just be a dodgy batch, thanks for all your help anyway bud
