it only shows about the first 5 seconds....then the video freezes, but the commentary keeps going

codec is basically a file which makes it possible to play something. like booti had a problem with it just playing sound. this is very common, and if you have the right codecs, it makes it able to play.
erm, its kinda like a cheat on a game. you input the right code, and it enables you to use extra weapons, or whatever.
so you download the right code, it gives you the video, not just sound.

Woo hoo, got it working (forgot I had switched off Divx....DOH!)
