Well, pictures are up at forceofnature.com. It looks awesome.

One thing though--I'm not at ALL trying to dog the NPPL S7, because I personally hope this succeeds and think they are making the most advances in terms of tournament paintball. Anyway, one of the big things they touted was a better playing surface. First they guaranteed grass, then they said it would be on the beach, but the sand was going to be bulldozed away to allow play on the clay surface below. From the pictures, the sand is still there. In one picture you see a guy raking sand around a bunker. What's the deal? I also didn't see the bleachers next to all the fields, only the bleachers next to center court. Is that idea gone, too?

Anyway, just wondering.

Knobbs,
The scraping off the top layer..or lack there of .. kinda blows, but I guess they couldn't pull it off ( maybe city ordinance? ).

The guy you see raking, they put down tarps around all the bunkers and put dirt over them.
Still appears to be one of the nicest lay-outs for a tourny, wish I was playing there. :(

Can't wait for reviews from actual players who are there.

That division has got 'Dogs'

written all over it...especially now they've got Sonny Lopez on board. Think the Nexus boys will find life tough - I reckon they'll notch up 5 Maxes, which won't be enough.

Still, fingers XXXd.

Hey guys,

The sand actually was fun to play in! The way the fields were setup it did not require for teams to take all the 50's off the breaks. There were a lot of zones where you could be far away from bunkers yet still not be shot. With this teams were able to use a lot of shooters off the break and then make quick inserts into the 40's and 50's. HB was the best event I have ever been to. Speaking with my teammates that went to France last year they said HB was very close in most aspects (grass is preferred over sand) and that it exceeded it in others (family and friends being able to watch here in our backyard). Congrats to the NPPL on putting on a killer event and we are looking forward to Vegas!!!

Take it easy!

Thanks TJ! We had a lot of fun and are bumping up our practice schedule as a result so we can gell quicker. The off season was VERY short and not enough time to solidify our roster. We should be ready by the time Portugal and Vegas roll around :)

Thanks again for the support!
