ergh, Beeston scum!
Skirmish used to host training, but that seemed to stop just about when I went to uni, again typical!
There are several places in Birmingham/Leicester/Lincoln, but nothing within a short drive

Grrr....the train service is **** to dartford too  The online system tell me I've got to go all the way into Central London just to get back out to Dartford

Is broadgate a good area? Getting all my accomodation stuff finalised today. It was either that, university park, which is expensive and catered...meh, or Raleigh.

That's rough :(, I just looked, £50 for a return ticket :(, & £41 for a single...
Edit: actually nah if you choose the times well, 2 singles = £36.60. Still expensive for a day's training! :(

It's all expensive :(, 60 quid a week for basically a box, with no phone or internet, self catering. And crappy orange walls :(:(

£33.45 saver return with a railcard, minimum of 3 1/2 hours travel. Still crap :( That's nearly the cost of the training itself.

I was amazed by the Nottingham accomodation prices, some places are on a par or more expensive then London!

£25,000 student debt FTL :(

Have to ask also, I hear people talking about how great student loans are, and how they go out every night, but after taking the accommodation out of the loan, I'll get £60 a month for food & everything else?? How can you all afford to be out so much
Or is it just a cruel myth ;) & students do actually have to survive on beans & lentils :)?

Nah...fish heads and rice FTW

I'm hoping to get some of that new grant money this year. I hear Nottingham Uni gives out a grand themselves in some cases, plus anything from your LEA.

I couldn't go out everynight (maybe every other night), but when I was in London the LEA did give me a stupid amount of loan to get me through. It terrible though...because none of it is really 'your' money anyway. It's just building up interest :(
