origins of santa... the red and white guy...
i can tell you where that image of santa came from..

anyone remeber the cokacola adverts with santa in?
Well it was an advertiser of coke that decided to take santa out of his usualy green clothing, a put him into this red and white stuff.
He is short and bearded cos thats what the advertiser who designed the campaign looked like. And as the image was such a commercial success the "new" image of santa became the norm.
No more saint nic for our TV/Advertising driven culture.
