Is the NSPL still split into south-west and south-east events? If it is then the end of season play-offs could be: North, Midlands, South-east, & South-west. It would be good to get these play-offs feeding the national league, so that we have an organised and coherant league system. And standard set of rules, a universal player registration system and an independant group of refs used at all events would be nice too, but I can't be greedy. :D

P.S. rentonc... slowly putting 2 and 2 together... Chris?

In the respect that players have a problem with having to make an effort to do anything paintball wise.

Your complaining that you have to travel more than two hours to get to a tourney. I bet you have a a car as well, so its relatively easy for you to get to tournaments. The fact that you yourself are complaining because you have to do a little bit of travelling to go and play competitively makes me laugh. There's guys in america who travel 12 hours every weekend just to go training. Training FFS! and these are div 2 players etc. Its one of my biggest gripes with UK players, that they complain about having to go somewhere to play.

Im not having a go specifically at you. 95% of UK players think just like you. When Robbo says he see's the UK changing, i smile because what he's seeing isn't the UK changing, its the top pro teams, site owners and the handful of div1 milleniums teams raising their game. Not the majority of UK players. And whilst they continue what they are doing the rest of the UK lags behind because they haven't got the gumption to get their heads out of their asses and start getting serious, instead of merely talking a good talk on the internet.

Now whilst you (and robbo) may disagree with me, i have firsthand experience with this debacle of a country. Ive seen the apathy of UK players at first hand and it just plain sucks. I just hope those who are trying dont give up.

Im out on this because i could go on for hours, and whilst i see the problem i dont know how to fix it.

Ashford, the various NSPL events, Dave is looking to do the odd tournament or two again.
But much of what people appear to think of as Northern seems to me to be more Midlands.
