even though i have no affiliation and wasnt even at the trials ill offer these potential reasons:

1 - they couldn't make the trials
2 - they are good enough to play and welcomed to the team without a trial leaving the remaining places open for people to fight for
3 - they are friends of the organiser(s) and or team captain hence have (fair or unfair you decide) preference to play the event
4 - they may be chipping in the same as the donation of the green fee to the tryouts

im sure one or more of these may have already been alluded to by your own imagination but I thought I would write these ideas for your benefit.

once again, I have no affiliation to the event. so for the genuine reason ask Chris Edwards.

to be fair, some of the people on the list dont need to turn up to a trial day as they would still make the team, im guessing some of the cpl players from this year didnt make it up to the tryout, are you going to say no they carnt play as they didnt make the tryout. chris is always gonna have a team of people in mind as to who he wanted to play with, and the trail day is gonna be one of those days that selects the rest of the squad

no offence directly.. but as you stated yourself 'i may have thought of these already' yet you went on to 'unofficialy' give the answers...so im 'unofficialy replying'.its not like the organiser is gonna say 'yeh what he said' ....there would be no confusion if the answers just came from the organiser......my thoughts are my own and not of the northern team ...i accept all liability for my actions....

I think this is typical of english paintball .........

I always had a core of players that were always gonna play ,
When we first started all this off , Clint and myself had decided that there would be 2 squads for the simple reason we did not think any one would benefit from a team full of CPL players beating up on novice/Am players , it might end up in people resenting playing the north vs south,The whole idea of this is day is FUN ,it will be very competitive however its more important that the EVERYONE enjoys there days ball and the teams are able to COMPETE against each other .

Now to my real point

Why were those players picked when they where not at the trails!!

To be quite honest ,there are no other players in the north of england that are good enough ,its thats simple we have 100's of players that think there the next Ollie, but the truth is they SUK.

I will have 3 players from Kellys, shock and 1 from nexus , now give me people that are not in those 3 teams that are good enough to play CPL ,really...............thought not ...we have good up and coming players , however we DONT have the depth in the north we have too many people with all the gear and no fcukin idea !!!

Now i dont know all the players in the north , but do u know what ,i know the people that CAN play . These people contacted me and wanted in ,I will not chase any man , there are players out there who think there better than they are ,thinking iam running after them , your fcuking insane.

Regards money , £110 was collected which was donated from Northern Quarter ,which is to be used towards a few boxs of paint , NQ could have just kept the ,money but outa the goodness of there heart they gave the northern team some much needed cash .

Some answers for u all

thank you

you know what, this isnt my call ....id have it differntly .....but i cant .... so for the record .....to those who did not make the team yet came to the trials maybe one day we can reach the same level as those who DONT NEED to turn up.... you did well on the day and i belive that you all showed northern spirit ....i bow my head to you all ..................i apoligisise for any offence ive caused to those who had legitimate reasons for not being there .....but to those who didnt ...you better play twice as hard and come home twice as bruised as those who turned up to the trials ......peace and love tommy 'the gun' webb
