I thought that was what made the last hour so brutal. everyone was just throwing themselves into the thick of it, again and again! if they had to walk out for 10 minutes to get a spawn point, the battle would have been over before it started.
I'm talking complete elimination at the end and not being able to respawn at all in the last hour. Yes, it was brutal and fun, however there was no game control and shooting people was just a complete waste of paint.

that is true, however the kills were still being logged. the respawn guys behind only had to see us get shot out, to then clock us in. When i'd get shot, i'd walk to him (which took all of 10 seconds), in which he already saw it, clocked it, and told me to get involved before i'd even walked up to him - so it wasn't a total waste.
Maybe it was a little out of context, considering the format of the rest of the day.

But maybe next year warped could do a specific event similar to that, like an arena-type game where if you get shot out, you have to touch the starting gate (or respawn point by the action) to be instantly spawned back in, both teams trying to take a specific point? (Basically what we saw for the last hour anyway)

It was a immense day that words just can not describe.
The mobile respawns were a great idea and I think they should stay.
They kept people in the thick of it longer and made things more challenging from both sides.
After all its a very big site and people only get fed up and respawn themselves anyways if they have to walk a mile to the nearest respawn or cant find it.
The battle at the end well thats going to go down in paintball history that I am sure of....

My 8th year at the NvS big game, and I can say the weekend as a whole was good, I was one of the crowd in Wayne's stag doo (snow white dress) the lad who was covered in chilli sauce, vinegar, flour and what not on the stage in front of everyone! (he was not happy hahahahaha).
For us lot it was pretty much a weekend on the lash and then a paintballing game on the Sunday. When I say lash i use the term loosely, It was carnage! Never drank so much in so little time before... wow!
As for the big game I got to play an hour of it!!!!! As my gun decided to leak which took an hour to be repaired, then as I was about to go in to get my game on, the rest of the lads came out of the game of which 1 of them had nearly dislocated his arm and broke his wrist! So obviously, that was a trip to Stafford General Hospital for me and thee (I was the only 1 with a car). Came back and there was only an hour and a bit left of the game so I got straight in shot 3 people then got taken out big time, DOH!

From that hour I did play I can say it was pretty damn good! Just wished I would of had more time playing!

As per normal, BIG shout out to WARPED and all who helped out and chipped in to make it an epic weekend once again!!

Until next year (perhaps I can play more next year)... year 9!! Wooohoo!

Cheers

Ben

NORTHS GENERAL REPORT FOR NORTH V SOUTH
What can I say……………….
Playing paintball for 25 years all over theUnited Kingdom ,Europe,AmericaandThailandthere has been many words said….. Amazing, action packed ,the best ,brilliant but here’s one many have used this weekend at N V S 2012 Vigilante
AN EPIC WEEKEND
Just a little thank you before I start my conclusion………

To my left Flank Battle Group GPL OSLO lead by Team Captain Lars-Robert Ronassen and co.
Which kept control and movement of teams in their section and to capture shops and protect and steal goods for and around scoring periods.

Big thank you to my Right Hand Flank UK MERCS lead by Team Captain Dave Jack and co.
Dave who squeaked on with no voice and thanks to the rest of the team who spoke for him until he got his voice back.

Massive thanks to my main battle group T.M.H lead by Team Captain John Grant.
For acting as a rolling battle group giving strength and support where needed .Being a down right pain in the Ass across the whole days play.

Troop Transport Insertion Team and Radio commutations a Superbly well done job
T.M.H Lieutenant Stacey Madman Parsons with his right hand man Harrison Brown from Team Scottish Pirates and co. Utilising transport for time scales set down to the last minute. Maintaining troop Insertion at key building objectives and if needed to engage the southern positions. Feed back from transport driver was that the North had filled the van all day and at one point 26 troops piled out of the van making it the high light of his day.
South did not utilise this facility to it max. Which had a massive impact on controlling key objective buildings and for fast movement of punch teams in and around game area.
Thanks to punch teams for being up beat and ready to go…..Strike team Charlie ,Silverdale swingers ,Ku Nemesis and team mongoose.

Only bad point seen at the start of the day was a few northern teams and players still chrono and airing up well past the 9am kick off…..
So next year people preparation, preparation please……the chrono and air are always open for two days prior to the game ,so lets get it done before……. Also the successful big game player will avoid a lot of unnecessary walking around by making sure you have your game map to hand at all times.
Also understanding respawn, there were 2 field hospitals on the game and team mobile respawn marshals who where following the action throughout the day ,a lot of problems arose around this for the field marshals and misunderstanding from both sides.

Thanks again to the Excellent team ofMarshallsyou did a great job.

Massive pat on the back to Jedd and is police Militia for being the LAW
Intercepting and interrupting my days progress. Great to see hard core guys and gals paintballers giving their all to make Vigilante Game 2012 an Epic Day.

Big Thanks to Jamie Powell and this Southern Army for being worthy opponents.
Great to see fair play and good banter on and off the field.

I’d like to thank Andre from C.E.P Portugal for the kind gesture given to myself and Tracey of your local produce .Good to see the alliance of teams from aboard. See you all in September for your Big Game Paintugal 2012.

Great to see Trade stands New and old selling and teching their products.

What a great number of woman players too just what the game needs !!!

Thank you to the Site Commandant for the use of his excellent facilities.

Big round of applause for Jim and Tim and the whole of the warped Crew for making
N V S 2012 Vigilante a Epic Weekend
