I've had the same thing happen, and i had to claim it back from the post office. The cheeky postman or maybe the guy doing the sorting ticked some box somewhere saying the parcel had been delivered, and was signed for. When i challenged this, they had to do some internal checks, and apparently the form was lost (yeh of course it was). Anyway don't always blame the postman, as it may have been side tracked before him.

It seems that Royal Mail are still on their Christmas break.
I had 2 packages sent to Ireland special delivery, one a shocker, the other a freak kit. The shocker arrived 2 days later, so not next day delivery as paid for, and the freak kit a day after.

Im sure im not the only one who gets paranoid about this sort of thing happening as even if it is all insured, I always think that it's gone missing and you may then have to go about proving to an unhappy 'customer' that you did infact send it and you haven't robbed him. it makes it look bad on you when you've done your best to get it sent quickly, and they mess you about.

On the same topic, I bought a new phone off t'internet in september 2005 and after trying to get it sent to where I was working and failing as they didn't mention I had to send a headed letter, they finally sent it to my house.
When I got home I didn't find a phone, or a notice that they stopped but nobody was in. It seems that if they leave it with a neighbour, its just plain hoping that you dont live next to a bunch of scallies, which luckily I didn't.
