well, you guys should have been here then...

With respect Colin that is a bullsh!t statement
Would have loved to have been there but Malaga was announced after I had agreed to work that weekend.
The fact that there was no information of how the event was progressing is a total disgrace and disrespectful of all the paintball players and fans, who could not for various reasons attend. The technology exists, is easy to use and should be employed to at least give fans an end of day report.
It's Tuesday where are the results????????

Rant over :p

actually i got into the cyber cafe once, but we kept waiting for the wi-fi to get put in, and it never came. they kept saying, 'it'll be here tomorrow' but in the end the installiation never showed up...

One of the requirements of the Millennium series is that you have to have internet access for the admin team, and i know for a fact that it was ordered to be installed for Malaga. In the end though, it was a lot less critical than keeping the beach from washing away the Millennium field and i was just too much to get done.

I'm sure that Beard will lay a fine for not having internet access.

I found out after the even that there was an internet cafe across the road...

But i can't emphasise this enough, (and this is directed at every one who didn't attend, not just Eric ;) ) : Malaga beach is the cheapest event to attend, even if you're not playing. If you're really keen to find out what's going on, make a point of being there next year. It's the best event i've ever been to, as a player it's the most fun i've ever had at a paintball tournament.
Next year everyone will be able to get into the appartments directly across from the fields, for the rock bottom price of 15 euros per person per night!

Bigger stands, cheap beer (1 euro a glass; half the price of any where else), tons of hot spanish chicks (and a few paintball bunnies thown in for good measure), the sea only a few meters from the staging area, and more fields. And probably the coolest things, was Scutty kept the Spyder field open for an extra day so teams could play STREET PAINTBALL, and walk on ball. Even the Local police came down for a few games. I can't emphasise enough; this is the best event i've ever been to.

if course i could pay 4-5 times the price and go to huntington beach, but what's the point, Malaga beach has it all.

I think the Malaga beach crew would really like to encourage people to take some extra time off, and stay in Malaga for a few extra days. Joey and I stayed on, and had a fantastic Vacation. So next year we encourage everyone to join us for an extra few days, enjoy the beach, the sun, the cheap beer and cigarettes, and have a good time in Malaga.
