Anyway - a good day was had by all but next time i will have my own head gear lol.

It's either a Vantage Pro or Profiler/ Morph but deffo VForce because i think they look good.
I don't advise going for a mask souly on its appearance. The single most important factor is comfort. You're the one who has to wear it throughout a game and if its not comfortable, you'll find yourself changing it in the near future, so lets try to reduce the chances of that happening!

I personally play with I3 Pros atm, but its likely i'll switch to VForce Grillz very shortly once i've tried one on. From experience and reviews ive heard events are uncomfortable and expose parts of the jawline in places, but then again well built and trusted.

Well, let me be the one to welcome you on behalf of the moderators of this forum.

Like said earlier, try out a few masks for comfort (if you have the luxury to get to a proper shop, rather than ordering online). Get the one that feels best.

Personally I'd never get second hand goggles, as I detest having somebody else's face-goo on my face, but if you do decide to go that route, I would advise you to get a replacement lense, just to be on the safe side.

Other than that, excellent thinking to get a set of goggles before anything else. They are your most important piece of gear.

Yeah or safety!

:)

AJA_528i, have a look on LIPS website, plenty of goggles under £60, and they used to do a "anything over £50, free delivery" service aswell. You'll have to check on that yourself. Very reasonable guys, very recommended.

(e-vents are VERY comfy btw)

Wow - thanks for all of your help.

As I have a slightly gay phobia about coming into contact with other peoples (mens:p) bodily fluids I have just ordered some brand new profilers in black.

I know i could get a better second hand mask for less cash but i'm a sucker for the smell of new rubber lol

Rocknroll - I was there 2 Saturdays ago erm the 19th of July I think. Were you there too? I was in a purple band and covered in blobs of paint :D
