i think your confusing Nitrogen with Nitros Oxide (?spelling)

Nitrogen is Compressed air with the water taken out, thats why its used in the Aircraft industry to combat corrosion.Tyres and accumulators etc.

Almost right...Nitrogen is, just nitrogen..it's inert...it's air, with 20.9% oxygen and the rest of the other few gases, etc taken out.

It is more consistent than Compressed Air, because its pure.

correct me if im wrong, but dont they have a bit of a nitrogen bottle craze in the US??? or is that just that they call all non-co2 bottles, nitrogen ones, as opposed to us calling them air bottles... etc

Please don’t confuse the words Nitrous and Nitrogen.

Two different things.

Using slang words when you mean a certain substance leads to people getting confused.

Nitrous or its proper name of Nitrous Oxide (N2O) would be a real giggle to power your marker with; its pet name is laughing gas. This is the same gas used in dental practise, Midwifery (child birth) etc also can be injected into combustion engines for that added kick.

No real difference to what we generally rename the vacuum cleaner in the UK “Hoover” or “Dyson”. The brand name of a marker air system “Nitro Duck” or shortened to “Nitro” used in the USA just like us gets used as a common name for a marker compressed gas cylinder. ;)
