Resultwhise it makes sence since your struggling in both formats and need to concentrate on one format only to be able to compete.
I'm sure Pete will answer your questions but I really don't think we are "struggling" in the CPL.

At present we are sitting in 8th Place, now this is hardly setting the world on fire I know and considering the team we have and resources we have I do expect more from us as do a lot of people, the players are not happy about our current position BUT, remember "Nexus" did not play the first event and therefore didn't really win too many points there.

Every team above us, except Joy, has had a full first team at every event and therefore would it be fair to say they have had an advantage of one events points more then we have ? maybe ? maybe not ? As for Joy, well they're just too good !!!

Still, a massive thanks to the Reapers for attending for us - without them we would have been thrown out the CPL, love you guys.

Now before you all go mental, yes I know Nexus, us, the first team, stepped on our d1cks BIG TIME in Germany by not playing on Sunday and this is going to hurt us more come the end of the season, our fault totally and we know it.

sounds like excuses eh ? well they are, but I just wanted to reiterate that I don't think we are "struggling", but agree that we are not playing to the best of our ability.

Come next season, by the sounds of things we will be focusing purely on X-ball so we will see what happens then.

Thanks

Leigh - Nexus 06

The thing is Mikey, because of the results this year, the sponsor package is gonna be that much harder to maintain at the levels we have had and thus making it nigh on impossible to finance.

We had our chance to stay up and basically blew it, it's as easy as that !

Struggling is a relative term - is Dynasty struggling this season? Many would say yes.

Fact is, a couple of seasons back y'all were head to head with Joy as Europe's best, now you're not.

By your own standards, I'd say you guys were struggling - for every forward step Joy has taken, Nexus has taken one backwards. Question is, can you turn it round?

If I didn't think I could, I wouldn't be trying to reorganise with a wholly UK squad, I really wouldn't.
In Nexus's first year, we made a huge impact, I certainly ain't lost any of my brains or paintball knowledge and so I can pretty much be assured I ain't gonna be wasting my time in doing a Nexus reconstruct.
It just remains to be seen whether the players can step up to the same plate as me.

You are sooo blind to the truth sometimes, a couple of seasons ago Tigers were 3rd place finish in EXL (Joy 2nd & Nexus 4th). We made finals in all 7 Major comps in 2004 we also qualified for the 2004 NPPL spot with 4 scores not 5. We also made Sunday 3 out of 5 times in 2005 NPPL.

So i would say Nexus, Joy & Tigers were Europe's best. I dont play with Tigers no more but it does annoy me a little that everyone forgets what we achieved. You say Nexus have gone downhill look at Tigers they had NPPL & CPL spots at the start of 2005 now they have a Div 1 spot probably.

Teams can fall apart without warning sometimes its a sad thing but its true, hopefully Nexus can pull them selves from the pits & once again become a world force. In my opinion Brit torney ball has gone way down hill in the last 18 months or so.

Just my opinion;) :) :D

Warren, look at the title of the thread, it's a contemporary issue relating to what's happening now in the NPPL regarding Nexus, who the fuk cares about yesteryear, not me for sure.
When a thread entitled 'Why did Tigers bail from the NPPL' gets posted, I would maybe get involved but until that happens, all you are doing is diggin up crap.

Pete,

Not digging up crap at all & to be honest i couldn't give a rats ass about Tigers anymore my point is things can change a lot from season to season so just becouse a team is doing well in 04 doesn't mean they will do well in 06 or 07, i was making the point that you can be up one day & down the next, Tigers are the extreme of this i think you will agree.

Next year could see you as top dogs & Joy having problems. If you read the thread i replied to you will see that TJ is bringing up yesteryear not me. I am just pointing out how far teams can go down in such a short period. Sorry if i offended you it was not meant that way any problems give me a call.
