What i don't understand, is why people will travel across the country to play a tournament, but won't bother taking the trip down to a training day like this. What's the matter with you people?
Pete, thanks for taking the time to do the Training weekend, and thank you to all the Nexus boys who came down to demonstrate the 'Paint, Technique and Movement' needed to smash your oppostion.
It was a shame about the weather, but it was really good to take the time to emphasise the theory behind the game play.
A few guys asked me how why i would come to the same seminar a second time, but amazingly i got even more out of it this time.
The thing about Nexus is, they all want the same thing, to get to the top of the pile and prove that they are the best. A lot of players in England don't know how to improve their game, they don't know that there are specific and measurable things that they can do to drastically improve their game. Anybody who regards themselves as a serious player should attend these events. Peter is just standing there giving you the blueprint to playing like Nexus, how to become top calibre players.
Of course it's never going to happen, players think they know it all, and that's why they get beat when they go up against the top pro teams.
Nexus is fresh, they're still excited about how good they've become quickly, and they're prepared to give it back to the players. If I was a old school brit pro team, i'd be taking a long hard look at Nexus, and examine the way Pete had broken down the game, cause these guys are getting quick, fast and very dangerous!
Anyhow, look for a Nexus presence around Campaign Paintball park this spring, and hopefully we'll be able to hold another Training event at Campaign when the weather gets better.
Thanks again Nexus, Pete, and the boys (and girl).
