I have to say well done to shockwave. i have played with some of this team and although they have been quiet for last few years they have still been present and kept trying.

Nexus - any team that trains like they do will be dissapointed with the result they got. I would also say any team getting these results would be pretty upset. What made the difference and also what made the results so bad for this team?

I dont know. Maybe Robbo will check out this thread and comment for the team once the Aftermath and assessment for the team is over.

Was it the Vegas heat? I dont think it was titty bar distractions because i think Nexus planned to do a lot more at this leg of the comp that waht they actually did. Jet lag? I feel there are teams on the roster whom Nexus played that should have / could have been beaten...

Sorry Nexus, chalk it up to learning and experience for the players...as any other good team, in any sport would do...it cannot be changed now.

Mak went but I bet it won't shut him up - and I hope it doesnt cos attitude is what you need to succeed and the experience of losing bad will do him good.

I know the team will take all the positives from it too - after all what else is there to do but look at yourselves and try and put it right?

Hard work and more hard work - arses in gear time!!

I was on a team that beat the guys... it seemed like they were running into our guns like lemmings off a cliff. Of course, I didn't expect it to go like that, and we were unaware at the time what a tough time Nexus was having. I wished we'd played all our games as well as that one.

It's true, we quite simply weren't up to scratch.

No excuses, and no blame on anything/anyone but ourselves.

Rest assured, 12 plus hours of homeward bound flight time gives you a lot to think about and i have no doubt that we will rectify the problem.

rectify the problem

how? I'm genuinely interested. It's been 5 days since the end of the tourney and no constructive post portem to be found (from the horses mouth as opposed to the usual post count wh0res). I am keen to know how a team proposes to turn around a bad performance - maybe this is not for external consumption since it obviously can affect the strategy of other teams, but if this is not the case then please spill the beans ;-)

I think that you will find that the wheels are turning in the house of Nexus and the measures being taken will be the right ones

The wounds will be licked and the team will be back

Maybe that is all there is!

Nicky T has replied to the thread and I have spoken to Robo and he has formulated his opinion and plan for going forwards.

It maybe that this time he is keeping his cards close to his chest and he isnt going to air his dirty laundry?

I suspect he'll have an angle for an article from it all though!

thanks Mark - what you are saying is that whatever needs sorted out is going on within the team.

That answers my q - I was just getting very curious since there has been a dearth of the usual Nexus player posts here all week and I was genuinely wondering how last weekend would be handled.

thanx again dude
