hmmm an uprated motor would certain make it spin faster. I mean servos/motors can spin alot faster than they do in an egg and in a halo so why dont get an uber fast servo and whack it in.

Nicky T ...anyone help?

Am guessing an uprated board just allows more current to the motor to allow it to go faster....

Problem is if the paddles spin to fast the balls wont catch in them. or you will end up with a blender

egg

I now have both eggs in bits in front of me and the only difference I can see is that the nexus egg has 2 wires chopped off at the connector that goes from the motor to the z board. It has the same 2 wires attached which are the red and white ones but there is a green and a yellow wire chopped at the connector end of the loom?. My new motor has a sticker on it identifying part number but unfortunately the nexus one dont. Bummer.

The servos in the egg, look similar to the Standard servos that i use in my remote control gear. Suppose u could get a fancy R/C servo, maybe a Ball Bearing, Metal Geared set. Most servos have certain times that they can turn, and also the amount of Tourque that they can Pull.

also

How many windings/turns did it have? Back in my Rc car days we used to use less turns = Faster motor, but that was only in the drive motor, guess it works for servo motors also??
The windings are used for bigger racing motors, like the speed 400's and 480's. and mainly for RC cars zzzzzoooooooooomm
