Hey guys,
I played at the Camp Masters, and I can tell you my team got screwed by the refs too, even though we're french.
I can give you a few examples :
- a player from my team shoots on a bunker by accident before sliding in. He calls the ref that saw it, and tells him that's his paint on the bunker. The ref agrees because he saw it, and let my player play on. But then another ref comes and pulls his armband. My player then complains but the ref doesn't wanna hear anything about it, and after the game, both refs agree, while one of them actually told my player to play on... how fu##cked up is that?
- after moving to a bunker, my player asks for a check. The ref then comes to check him, and pushes him off the bunker... wtf right? My player told the ref to piss off, and he said : "Go learn the rules." Fu##cked up again. How can my player not be hit if he is pushed off the bunker...
- then at the break, having to take the 50's bunker, I belly slide into the bunker, and at the landing I accidently shoot on my wrist. I was checking my wrist myself to see if it was actually hit, and the ref comes to me and tells me : "I saw you wipe off the paint, you're lucky I'm not calling for a '1 for 1". How messed up is that again? I admit I didn't get a 1 for 1, but I wasn't wiping at all, just landed. It wasn't even a belly slide wiping trick as I shot myself at the landing.
I guess this is pretty confusing. I just wanted to let you guys know that you shouldn't think all french players hold any grudge against you, just because the marshalling was horrible. I guess we both agree on that point, but just don't diss on the french teams. Some of them didn't do anything to deserve this. One of my player even lent his angel to an English player from the Jersey Warriors because he had problems with his gun. We guys have nothing against you. Maybe the refs, but not all of us.
Anyways, thumbs up to the English dudes from Method and Nexus though, you guys impressed me. Especially Method, you guys go on like this!
Cheers.
PS : let's do something about this but as Fabian said, it was such a nice thing to see you guys play in France. I liked watching and learning from teams like Nexus and Dynasty. I hope you guys come back and that this problem is gonna be solved.
