I had the chance to see Nexus play and they are good, it is great to see the british boys doing there stuff. They are the team to back. We will be behind you guys all the way.. Go Nexus and bring home the title for all of us, no offence Dynasty
Well from my point of view, there's not much to say - what the team did on the field says it all for me.....and for them.
I suppose I fell victim in the end of wanting to shove this result down certain peoples' gobs (metaphorically of course) but in the end I thought to myself, 'what's the point', I wanna enjoy this for what it is...and I did.
I purposely did not go up with the team to collect the trophy because I wanted to watch my team as everybody could watch them, take that 'rites of passage' for themselves.
Watching them walk up to collect their trophy has to go down as the proudest moment in my paintball life thus far.
All of us on the team have sweated blood to get where we have.
To see and hear the likes of Dynasty, Strange and Legion all pay respect to my team when they picked up their trophies just underlined how far the players of Nexus have come in such a short time.
We really have no more to prove to anybody - I could never imagine that the guys on the team could produce such a mature and exceptional performance in so short a time span and this is testament to the quality and character of the players I am as$hole lucky to have on the team.
What was also remarkable, was the level of support we got from everybody which is surprising when you consider what an as$hole (sometimes) the team has for a coach but thankfully the vast majority of people see past this little shortcoming and appreciate what the team does ON the field as ambassadors of English paintball.
I know the guys on the team and myself really appreciate all the kind, well meant comments that were made to us from everybody.
We are gonna be even stronger next year, make no mistake about that - the resolve with these guys is tremendous.
I wanna thank people like jim and the Twisted guys, Al, Chris and Flash and the rest of K2 and Nitro for their continuous support for us thru the tourney and to everybody else.
I won't ramble any further, what needs to be said has already been explained by my team - I need to sleep...................
Oh and to my team............hmmmmmm..........ain't got the words so I ain't even gonna bother trying!
