Excellent Choice

If anything you just saved yourself a lot of time, trouble, and expense by getting a gun that will be pretty much worthwhile through your entire paintballing career (or whatever you call it). You can get familiar with this one and be confident in handling it after time, which is really a huge advantage. You can very realistically play at any level of competition with some form of Cocker, and your experiences now will serve you well down the road.

Have fun!

Another thing....

Try to restrain yourself when it comes to aftermarket add-ons. There are thousands of companies lined up to sell you mus-have bits to pimp up your cocker, but they aren't really that necessary, and if you go overboard you'll end up living in a cardboard box under a bridge, cradling £140,000 worth of splash-anodized posing aid....

Is there such a thing as Cockeraholics anonymous?

A new frame (which you already have), and a new barrel are the only 2 upgrades you need really.

But it will be just a matter of time till you want to upgrade the 3way for the shortest trigger pull ever... and then a new front reg to perfect the cocking pressure... and then the ram for some silly reason like LOOKS.

Then someone will tell you to make the gun as efficient and low pressure as possible. So there you go with a new valve and springs. Then you get an AKA bolt... And with a great gun like this it would be stupid to run co2 through it right? :p

The thing is, don't go on a crazy upgrading spree. BUY PAINT! And if you have some $$ left over, get an upgrade or two. A $1000 gun is worthless if you haven't any paint to put through it.
