can get a full etek setup for £300 (tank & loader) and tbh you will never have a problem with planet guns, such a safe bet.

Seems like everyone here is trying to sell you stuff, but you don't seem to be getting any good advice about the guns they are suggesting.

A word of caution when you get your first gear - you will grow out of it very quickly! When I first started I bought everything on the cheap down to my socks, after using my equipment for around a month I knew I should have dished out money for better equipment. Lets start with the essentials, in order to what you should buy, piece by piece at a time which is the best way to build up your kit properly.

1) Goggles - there are plenty of goggles on this website that go for sale, just make sure it has a thermal lens so that it doesn't fog up like cheap site ones. Remember 'Thermal Lens'
2) Knee Pads - Don't skimp, you only get one set of knees for the rest of your life! Planet Eclipsemake the best value pair in my opinion.
4) Air Tank - the site that you go to looks like it uses air as it propellant, get yourself a tank from these forums, fiber wrapped need to be hydro tested every 5 years, steel ones don't. Fibre ones are the preferred choice by most as they are much much lighter. Smallest size you should be thinking about getting is 48ci/0.8L or a 68ci/1.1l tank, the latter being the standard of paintballers.
5) Hopper - get something that forcefeeds paintballs into your gun, theres nothing worse then having to shake and load on the field, recommended buys would be velocitys and halos from these forums, they go for cheap and ain't hard to get spare parts for.
6) Marker - as I said before, when I first started I bought an Ion which proved to be one of the worse choices that i've ever made as it would required stupid amounts of money to make it perfect, which would cost as much as a high end marker of the day! Next time you go down to your site and you start talking to people with their own gear and equipment, ask to try it out to see if you like it, then make an educated purchase of your first marker. Tippmans although reliable will not work on a sup'air field if you decide to take this sport further, they will also require a good amount of upgrades to make them worthwhile at the end of the day and may end up causing you a headache if you can't get custom parts in the UK.

If your looking at buying a marker off these forums, you'll have to spend at least £250 for something decent (remember if you buy something cheap you will have to upgrade it in a most likely spending the same amount of money at the end of the day, if your into that sort of thing, go for it!)
PM7's, PM8's, DM7's, PMR's are all popular and easy to get hold of (inc. parts) spool valve markers, they are easy to maintain.
Ego5's, Ego6's, Ego7's, Etek, Etek 2's are the guns available at the lower end price range for you, all these guns are poppet valve guns, they sound different and feel different, straight down reliable and I have never seen one with a problem even with dirt in, without maintenance for yonks (an entire year including any sort of cleaning) and still work every time you take them out of the box.

Of course if you want something new, Proto SLG's, PMR and Etek 3's (recommended) will give you the manufacturers warrantys, I have mainly chosen these two brands because they are easy to get hold of, easy to maintain, parts and customer service is brilliant in this country if you talk to the manufacturers over the phone or send it off to get fixed/serviced (only cost you postage).

Etek LT - I know, very expensive, but this thing will last you for the next 5 years (thats a lot of time in the paintball world with kit being released each year) PlanetEclipse make reliable as hell guns, they shoot great and feel fantastic in the hands, they have fantastic customer support and the gun requires absolutely no upgrades to keep it up to date, this gun is effectively an Ego08 in my opinion which would cost the same second hand, but Ego07's and 08's blow their diaphragms, the Etek 3 doesn't. PMR2010 would be the next choice, but it costs more which is the only reason its not number 1 for me.

If you have any further questions get back in touch on here.

Happy Shooting!
