Newbie Needs Starting Marker

Hey all.

I am wanting to take up paintball as a hobby, and I need a decent starting marker. You people seem to know what your all talking about

Ideally, I don't want to spend more than £200 on a package. I was going to go for the tippmann 98 but I've seen some posts that advise against this. Is this true? I saw this package that is just £115

Would this be a good starting package?

tippmann 98s are only suitable for recball/scenario paintball.

if you are looking to take up tournie style paintball, go with an Eclipse Etek/Proto SLG/DP G3

Most games at my local PB arena are scenario based. But it does have a sup'air arena too. (Paintball Evolution)

I just want something basic that will do the job until i know for sure that ill be taking this up. I've only been once before and loved it.

All of the suggestions so far are a bit out of my price-range. Dansomee, if you still have it by the time i get paid, I may take you up on that

You can do better than a PM5 as a starter, Etek1 maybe an ego 07? thats what id choose.

He has to get a hopper and bottle.

Look at a Ion XE/ Mini with a steely bottle and possible a Halo.. Thats a good set up for woodsball and sup air
