Co2

Might not be much use, but in my days of using Co2 you used to be able to get an adapter that fitted onto the donkey (the bit that the Co2 bottle screws into) that allowed you to use Soda Stream bottles - when I first stared out it was cheaper to buy the adapter and use Soda Stream bottles than to buy a bottle and pay for fill ups at the site - and you can get the bottles filled in any Boot's (well exchanged)..

Might not be appropriate or as cost effective nowaw-days but I thought it might be useful!

Keep the faith

to be honest buddy

thats what we were thinking but we didnt wana sound like a rite pair of t"£t's lol

please could you tell us where we could get a soda stream adaptor from just to use tempory until we sort out something else as all the supermarkets give free exchanges on the bottles

we sound really stupid but at the moment we dont really have much to do with the guns apart from shoot each other and traveling for 30min every few days for refils will be annoying

thanks for all the above advice wish we had found you befor we bought the guns did we make the right choice with them anyhows all the reviews we read were very good

Co2 Adapters

Sorry - can't think where you would get an adapter nowadays.. I have still got mine somewhere - I've seen it recently and obviously put it somewhere safe, but it wasn't a bottle to gun adapter, it was a bottle to hose, and I used to run the gun on a remote system.

I guess the simplest thing to do is to identify what size and thread the gun part is and then check out what size and thread the Soda Stream bottle is and then try to find a converter of some sort - Duncan Engineering are pretty good, I've used them for lots of odd one off stuff which they have on the shelf in most cases -

http://www.duncanrogers.com/

Don't forget though that the side the Sodastream bottle fits into needs a pin to depress the valve on the bottle, otherwise it ain't gonna work. If I can find the adapter I have I'll stick a picture up..

In the mean time.. good luck.

I know i'm gonna sound like a real old bugger......but.......

When the days of Co2 were big, before air, I used to get a bottle of Co2 from my local gas company and keep it in the garage. Can't for the life of me remember how much it used to cost, but it wasn't that much.

All you need then is a Co2 fill rig and a set of scales....

You can probably pick up a fill fig on here, someone is bound to have one laying around. If not, you can get them prom planet (about £45.00 I think).

That way you can fill when you like. These gas companies will even deliver the bottle right to your door (well they used to with me).

I wouldn't recommend the soda bottles..... Punter Hunter is a little on the old side and is going back at least 10-15 years. I wouldn't feel safe diving around the floor with one of those, I mean, they just aren't designed for that, so I can't see the bottle linings being thick enough, after all, they are only supposed to be left in a machine. You wouldn't want one of those going off under your chin that's for sure.

Companies near you would be like Air Products, BOC or some medical gasses company. Just check yell.com for your nearest.

best solution is to buy yourself some spare co2 bottles........ not too expensive, that way you can get them all filled at the site and switch when you've used them.......they just screw in (not fixed to the marker or anything). Cheaper than a dive tank and saves you messing with fill rigs.
Have a look in classifieds, particularly for players selling old site equipment.
If you aren't playing at a site, where are you playing? You need to make sure it's legal and safe.
