i haven't been playing paintball for too long, so go ahead and laugh your asses off now and get it over with.
ok...now that you're done...i just purchased an angel a4 from a friend and know nothing about angels. i took it to the park this weekend, fresh out of the box mind you, and it was shooting really hot at around 350-400 bps (i was running it off a crossfire 68/4500). i already tried turning down the velocity all the way, but it still shot at around 310-320 bps. so the ref says to me that i need to cut my spring, and that is all he can suggest to me. i hate doing that but have done it before on my spyder, so i contemplated it and since i already paid admission, i cut the valve spring and it cut my bps down to 290-300 so he let me play.
now my question is, is this common on angels? did i do the right thing? did i really really really mess up my gun? was i even supposed to cut that spring? is there a good replacement spring (a softer one) for me so this won't happen again? is this part of the break in period for my gun? PLEASE HELP ME!!!
