Just a quick thought! We've been lucky at all the events so far as to the weather, however, I am sure those lovely grass venues will turn to sh1t with a little bit of the winter damp stuff.

Just a suggestion but personally I expect wet and mud out on the fields but you will be amazed how churned up everything will get between the fields and the staging area. I've seen temporary plastic roadways and they can save schlepping through ankle deep mud. All those lovely shiny electros don't take very kindly to water! You will be amazed how much slower an event will run when players don't motivate themsleves to get out on the field with the prospect of mud!

maybe some cheap chip board put down, or that black plastic stuff they used on the floor at campaign would be good. i guess the only problem, if it rains, then the day will run well behind because teams dont want to wait for their game in the rain, and its to hard to put up protection for them, i tell ya, if im marshalling, im gonna bring a brolly
