im with you now...would disagree on the similar performance in terms of ROF and some other points, but at least im finally on the same page as everyone else :)

I've been wondering this for years, using a very light titanium hammer and light springs to product a inexpensive yet reliable mid-high performance gun.

Now I'm wondering if a Cyborg or Pimp Lucky valve be adapted for the job?

forgive my ignorance, but doesnt a balanced valve need a piston at one end, and doesnt a spider need a opening at the same end to blow back the hammer???

this would mean a new channel would be needed to bypass the piston end, ao it would blow back

Correct, I was looking at the pic on the lucky site, there would need to be a provision for the valve to release the air out the rear to recock the hammer.

the thing is the rear has to be closed for it to work, +ve pressure in there, the only way is to get the air from the middle, and i dont think it can be hosed either as the spyder pressure is too great

But what if you could lower the operating pressure down to about 180 psi, would you be able to draw air from the gas transfer hole on the gun body and run it externally back to the hammer chamber?

still think hosing wouldnt work because ud need really fat hosing, as you have a large volume to fill, at a lower preesure, it needs to be channeled from the airway internally, so that the diameter can be achieved

Good point, you would need to allow a large volume of air to recock the hammer, even a comparitively light one.

Hmm, i'm sure it could be done though, just not sure how.
