Plenty of good advise here.

The NSPL Koth series would be good for you. As mentioned you can hire gear for the day plus if you post up on their forum that you would like to play they often have teams short of players so you can jump in.

It's a great relaxed atmosphere, turn up even if you are not playing to watch some games and talk to folk.

As per the kit I strongly recommend browsing the Classified sections on here. You can pick up great quality kit at bargain prices.

I would say try and aim to purchase an older high end marker such as an EGO 05 etc rather than a newer entry level marker. Some may not agree but I would always buy that way as the quality of the marker should be evident.

Regarding a Tourni style marker VS scenario marker I would go Tourni. True you will not be able to make it look like an AK47 after £100's of pounds of upgrades but they are more refined markers. I am more than happy to take my DM8 into the woods of onto the supair field.

Hi Ronny, welcome to paintball mate, I will give you one piece of well-meaning and enduring advice; whatever you do in paintball, whether it's running around the woods or playing at the top level tournaments, remember, it's only a game and so enjoy yourself mate ...... the real winners of our sport are not the tournament players who lift the trophies but the guys who go home with a smile on their face, win or lose.

Have fun!!!
