BIP = ball in place

It controls how long the bolt will wait after the ball is detected in the breech before cycling. Sometimes balls move after falling into the breech, apparently.

On the pre 2004 Timmies, there are two kinds of detentes, sft and hard. Hard may be needed for use with a Halo.

keep you regs lubed & your ram, do it after each time you play.
if your using a halo use hard dents, also its a good idea to use a
slotted bolt to help extend the dents life. also get an adjustable ram cap to set the bolt position. if you have any problems look at pbnation, it has a lot of info on the site about timmys.

i've been told by the assasins gun tech that lubing every time you play is actually detrimental for your gun. It only needs it every 3 boxes of paint or so....

Leave it alone! Unless it isn't performing correctly.

If I have to fix another kids gun who took it apart to lube the poppet when there wasn't a problem with the poppet...

The only thing you need to do is periodically cleans out the ram sleeve and relube the ram.

If the rest of it is working, don't mess with it!

If your consistency goes to pot, clean and lube the regs.

If you get a leak down the barrel, THEN AND ONLY THEN look at the poppet and valve seal.

Keep the battery life decent, over 8Volts in my opinion, although you can run it on far less.

And use a decent ASA and airsystem.

With the Halo B adjust the bolt so it sticks a couple of mm into the breech. If necessary pack behind the ball detents to make them stick in as far as possible. You don't want the ball in the breech to be able to roll much forwards or backwards.

Preferance would be to know the sizes.

Ta,

:)
Doesn't it have all the sizes on PBK? (Here I think: http://www.paintballkingdom.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=325 )

It's rather expensive from PBK, but www.compulsivepaintball.com has a whole oring kit for the timmy for $4, or 5 for $14. Of course, shipping would be a bear for you.

Thanks to everyone for the advice:)

Alias incase you're wondering

Better Things 2 Do!
Set your dwell a little higher - I generally run run all the timmy's on a dwell of 9 or 10, will help run your LPR a little lower + you shouldn't have shoot down over long strings cause with your dwell that low you will starve it of air and over work the noid.

Paul as for O-rings I got my self this kit from http://www.wickedairsportz.com/images/orings2.jpg pretty much every o-ring you will need for a 2k2 or variation timmy also the blue bumpers from PBK which are supposed to be undestructable (not but last alot longer ;) than the older style) are alot better.

O-ring sizes are generally the same on the newer alias's+ apart from the LPR.

Adjustable ram cap is a must including the newer timmy's.
