More proof that SP are marketing their products at 15 year old boys. Girls are hot, true..... but i'd rather have our marketing more orentated towards the products and the stars who use them. See Dye ads for what i mean.

Just cos there is some bird in a bikini with some sexual inuendo isnt gonna make me buy a Max-Flo
So, if the marker was held by a pro-player, you'd be more inclined to buy it???????????? I don't think so, I doubt you are that easily influenced........... the adverts are just designed to get people to notice the brand name and start talking about it..........and it appears to be working.......I don't see anyone discussing the excellent WDP advert for......erm......... can't remember what it was now........ but the nerve advert? now that one I remember this thread proves that the ads are working.
Apart from food, adverts aren't meant to make you go buy one right now, the bikini ads aren't meant to make you pick up a nerve on the way home, they just keep it "bookmarked" in your subconscious........ all advertising is subliminal........ no one says... oooooh must buy renault megan............

do you know whats uber scary? the fact that most paintball companies have their fingers in many other pies that we don't know about...they really don't need to bother marketing to us, the amount of cash money they bring in from other sources....

Jose - it's not so much the selling power of sex against pro player endorsement of products, it's about the potential outside image of a sport/scene which needs as much positive image to ALL facets of society, not just randy 15-35 year old blokes. As my other half has pointed out: "it just makes you look like a bunch of jocks (not in the scottish sense...) "

yes, but it's that facet of society that's going to spend cash on paintball....... so that's who they need to appeal to. Remember the PS2 ads? no mention of games or the machine, it became a lifestyle thing and now everyone has one...... wasn't like that before.
Which facet of society spends the most money on sporting goods and equipment? the companies have to appeal to their market.
I mean, just look at how many female players have come on here to object to these ads..........................anyone?

I find it ungrateful that anyone would complain about the ability to make money by simply putting something on or take something and striking a pose. Degrading, bad image, whatever, stick the self righteous fake indignation somewhere warm and uncomfortable...offer me cash to get under a light in front of a background and see how often I'd want to do anything else.
