Despite my love of the female form in all it's curvaceous (sp?) glory, I'm going the other way on this one...sorry guys....
... any company/sport/scene can sell themselves with pretty ladies to a paricular target audience.... do we need to do this?????
I'm *NOT* getting on a moral high horse about how we should market the sport (well, maybe I am), but I don't think we do ourselves ANY favours by parading scantily clad women around in a sport which women have the oppurtunity to play as much as men.
Please note.... this is NOT an oppurtunity for women already in the sport to come forward and say "Hey, I don't really mind this at all... ", as you're already a part of the scene.. you don't count. This is about being just an extra hurdle for the sport as a whole in it's attempt to be taken seriously.
What WDP did with the girl with the wings holding the Angel was just plain classy. Nothing else. These SP ads are just scantily clad women for the sake of it. What the hell has this got to do with paintball? Aren't we slightly bigger than having to resort to this?? For Fcuks Sake, SP have the monopoly on the PLP and now Dynasty, do they need really fit, nekkid birds to sell stuff????!!!
In a sport where we need pretty much EVERYONE outside of the sport to pay heed to us in order to succeed, we don't need to be doing ANYTHING to put ANYONE off...
