To dip it I am guessing all you would need to do is remove the shelf inside with the motor and electronics and remove the clear shell on top or cover that up and then you would be good to go and you can go extra detailed and cover up with thin electrical tape or anything that wouldn't stick to the hopper after dipping to create some details on it and then peel it off once its dried and setNot sure if it's a realistic option but have you seen videos of stuff getting dipped? The finish is excellent and can do most designs, just not sure if you would need to do anything to the hopper before they could dip it?
