Agreed on the rules being black and white, however your suggestion equally can't work as not all guns have the same pivot point in the trigger and nor are they all the same pivot relative to the firing actuation point where it hits the switch/beam. Plus, changing/flipping the micro switch can achieve vastly different results.
I just don't believe we can legislate the hardware of markers, they are all just too different and it would be impossible (at this stage of paintball's development) to achieve.
The jist of that thread is we seem to all get round to the idea that we feel we can only legislate against the symptoms of "questionable" guns. That test aint perfect, but better that nought with the Millenniums started/starting for the year.
