Nah, if I can't intimidate them with my chomed out poser's Intimidator and my puffed out chest when we shake hands at the start, I just run forward, get shot out on my 10 yard line and claim that I was on THEIR 40 yard line when I got hit and then flash my gun in the air as I'm running to the dead box. I figure if I can't get them to lay down their guns at the whistle, then it's useless for me to pull the trigger as I will get shot out trying to trade with someone. If I have a backman that knows me, he'll usually yell "Stay alive Ray" which is code for "Ray you #@$%! sh!+ head, stop shooting at that guy and get close enough to touch him before you pull the trigger, you know you can't hit the broadside of a barn so STOP TRYING!" Codes are wonderfully compact, aren't they?
When I was doing the 1-on-1 at the Pan Am LV, I got in trouble when I finally decided to trade with someone... I lost. Before that, my technique was to stay on one side, and pretty much walk down the straight line of bunkers and depend on my reactions to shoot the guy out...if the crowd noise got louder, it meant that I just passed him so I had to spin and shoot him in the butt, or chase him down (Merry-go-round) and shoot him in the butt (hey, I was being polite). I won every game where I did that....so you see why I try to avoid snapshooting
