New hopper.. egg or Halo?

Hi..

I've got ngel lcd and a cocker and want to trade up on hopper from a revy. Mainly for the angel but will probably use on both... what are the pro's and con's of the egg and halo and what would yaz all recommend? Oh and can ya get different colour egg hoppers as i've only ever seen clear ones

ive seen the egg in black and clear, the egg is cheaper, im fairly sure it is also smaller and lighter, the egg should be fast enough to keep up with the lcd

mmm lighter... that is worth it on it's own...

Ya just sold me on an egg.... shame they don't come in colours tho.

when full with paint, an Evo 2 and a Halo weigh nearly the same. plus the halo is balanced in the middle rather than set back (which is a plus or a minus depending on you POV!)

Personally I like teh idea of an egg but until the battery door and lid are redisigned i wont use one.

Evulutions
========
Pros:
+ Fast
+ Light
+ Uses common 9v, and power efficeint
+ Good capacity
+ Cheapish
+ Rather idiot proof maintenance

Cons:
+ Neck needs to be cut down a bit otherwisse a bit high
+ Batery door design a bit sus, prone to breaking
+ Lid design can take some getting used to
+ Unless u dye, only available in clear, black and smoke
+ Can misbalance some marker set ups
+ It's a bit odd looking

HaloBs
=====
Pros:
+ Very VERY fast (as fast as you need really)
+ Force fed, so better for high speed bursts
+ Slightly smaller profile than Evulution
+ Available in lots of different colours
+ Looks cool

Cons:
+ More expensive than Evulution
+ Heavier base wieght (unloaded)
+ Less capacity than Evu
+ Maintenance can be a total bitch (unless u know exactly wot ur doing)
+ Takes a load of AA batterys
+ Force feed can push past detents

It uses 6 stock, but I run both mine with 4 cells. Plus they last forever, usually get a tournament and 2 trainings out of a set at the very minimum, lot longer than I ever got out of my Egg's, plus AA's are cheaper than 9vs. I get by with just using generic alkalines now, never had a problem

given that its going on a cocker or a lcd you aint going to outshoot an evolution.

Other than the usual broken plastics you get in games and batteries giving out i have not seen many evos go down during games, which is more than can be said for the Halo everyone i know thats had one has had board and/or motor problems i beleive thats now sorted but be carefull if you buy one second hand.

My vote is the Egg matey get a little ugly on ya Gun

cheers guys.. this is getting tough now...the halo may be too powerful for my eclipse fang detent but sounds more robust and the egg sounds a bit flimsy... I recon the egg gets it tho... no double balling for me.. failing that maybe i'll stick with the revi.. lol yeah right..
