Do you guys have something against DP? or something against the concept of a company updating a previous marker to conform with modern standards in marker design and technology?

Anyway, I refuse to get into a debate or a rant. Im merely informing the community of something I personally find interesting.

i dont like there makers, have found them cheap and very limited life span with poor parts and even poorer aftermarket support

thanks, sorry to sound provocative.. i like to hear peoples opinions thats all

what DP markers did you own in the past, im probably not the right person to build an argument into the history of their markers, having owned only one. the G3 - probably the first time i ever listened to reviews and been happy with the purchase.

i think i had the very first G3 in the country and out the box chrono at 440's and would not wind down. the reg had a plastic cup that blew out. the thread on the body was showing signs of wear after only a few uses. had the makings of being a good marker just let its self down by being cheap

That takes the biscuit in the "How many things can go wrong with your G3 award" :p To be honest I am not suprised why people feel that way when their markers le them down like that.

I think its consistency, DP just need to make sure every Product is consistantly as good as the last, though I feel they are slightly more behind then most manufacturers.

Just like the first Gen Mini I believe.

Latest little bit of info..
This marker is reported to weigh only 1.89lbs

Which i believe is lighter than both the Etek 3 models, I would like to know how they achieved this.
