Portfires are the way to go with fireworks.
That hand injury looks like is was done with a home made device rather than a legit firecracker.
Training next year once festival fireworks is rebuilt, to be a qualified pyrotechnic.
Should be fun, shooting shells of the size of basket balls.

spent a week in burns unit year or so ago after some local yobbo threw an aerosol can on our bonfire as he rode past, 5% burns head and arms, nasty nasty........... ask robbo bout it he saw me bandaged up at NEC Campaing Cup.
havn't touched fireworks or been to firework displays since lol.
