rite guys, im wondering if anyone here can help me out.
to cut it short, im in need of a little help in my B.s A-level.

im doing a Feasibility study on wheather or not i should open up a paintball area in my Local town.

"this is not actually going to happen, its a coursework piece..."

Now what i realy need help is things like places to get xbal lfields, Pictures of layouts etc...Dimensions of certain fields and inflatables.
I would do all thiis myself, but i just have sooo much more to do on this coursework and if anyone could give me a little help on links or there knowledge or anything else, this would cut my time down on searching and boost my time (of which i have left) on actually getting valuable info on paper!

if anyone has any other ideas to add aswell, i would apreciate that greatly.
thanks
mike

just a thought but you made need to include things such as costs involved ie like land rental, council tax charges, electric costs ( or you going to use a generator? cos that will need to be costed and petrol to run it of course) marshalls wages, gear and paint prices.

maintenance of site and gear , security, land access, food prices for keeping your customers fed..... i could go on..

As for land, suggest the idea of setting up a field on a public playing area but reject that as you would need to clear up all the paintballs and it is more of a public health risk.

this is exactly what im talking about.
Well preferably i want to keep this as realistic as possiable as if it does turn out to become a "profitable business" then i will get more marks for having much more realistic results and vice versa.

i have tried to get in touch with some land owners in my area and i was thinking calling up or e-mailing certain paintball companies about packages and a realistic price by buying bulk etc...

Electirc wise...i didnt even think about! So thanks zip for the input.
As of an answer to that, i havnt had a chance to think about that, however i feel useing the mains rather than a generator may be of best interest...(due to Petrol prices constantly increasing)

If anyone here does own a shop and can help me out on the financial side of things, that would help greatly.
thanks
mike

Similarly to a generator for electricity, you would need a compressor and method of allowing users to air their tanks up - You'll need to think about renting costs of compressors (maybe for that talk to Syd and how they manage it for the NSPL), the noise pollution from it, the potential health risk, where it would be stored etc.

if its hard wired into the mains then a brand new site will have to be plumbed into the mains so that will cost you plus metering charges same goes for water as well and gas if you have that installed :D
you could go solar for batteries or even a wind turbine but thats going a bit far.
you also got to think about sewage and waste disposal cos a site will turn out loads of rubbish ( maybe you could also put bout recycling some things like tins, paper etc to make a bit of money back.

oh and another thing you got to take into account residents views on a paintball field being set up in there back yard.

This seams like a much better idea, i think i may include the above idea about the mains, however i think in all fairness il reject that and go wit hthe idea of being a bit more green :D

Now in terms of noise pollution etc...are there certain laws and regulations as i havnt ever heard about these?
cheers for the input so far! :)

INSURANCE!!!!! the people playing will sign waivers to say if there hurt there not gonna sue you but any body getting onto the site ie say a person walkin there dog cud sue you if there injured. so you also need to mention that and it will have to be fenced off as well so its secure for you and also stops sed dog walker straying onto the land.

What about the bogs do you hire or plumb some sewers?
don't forget the washing of coveralls and cleaning of kit ( even the 'o rings' that are needed for the bottles)
