In honesty the epiphanys are really good, people flamed them for being an up'd ion at a high cost, truth is they were in a way. In my eyes they look far better, the trigger is excellent and the consistancy you get from gettin the correct setings is wicked. I get +/-3fps over a chrono with 50 balls (done this twice to test). I would say tho get a qev deffo and if you havent already a clamping feedneck!

The firebolts are quite good but there are better bolts out there eg the hollow point but you need to remove all the inserts from the can to use it (so i seen written somewhere please feel free to correct me if i am wrong as i would like 1 of these :D) so then the epi upgrades would be of no use anyways.

What exactly do you want a virtue board for and what kinda ball do you play? I ask this because as stock you will get 17bps, most tourys are capped to 15bps anyways and no ramp etc allowed, so if your using it for this then is it worth spending all the money on one just for the sake of the odd muck around or walk on when you go above the 17bps? You can ramp to that anyways from the stock board, to be fair anything more (and in my opion ramping in general) is a waste of balls. I would say the only really plus of ramping is when you are trying to shoot a position somone is running into so they run threw the paint line, you can hit sat 10+ with your fingers anyways so i see no real point, in my experiance of ramping you tend to stop shooting pretty close to when you hit the ramp activation anyways (shot say 15 balls over the first 2 seconds anyways).

As for the original question is it worth it, in my opion yes however you can get a brand new epiphany now for 160 so if you sold your ion as is with the bits of ups you have for say 80ish and put the other 80ish you would spend on the up kit you would have a brand new marker to start with, even if you dont like say the epiphany body (cant see why you wouldnt to be honest) you can easy bang a ion body on it. 1 thing people always say is the epiphany is double the weight etc, its total bull and they obviously havent google proply coz they are very close! 2 lbs 2 oz for a stock ion, 2lbs. 3oz for a stock epiphany, i was no clever boy at school but i know 1oz is not double lol (thats 28.3495 g in new money). They are deffinatly NOT plastic as people tend to say althought yes they do have rubber trim on them (trim meens the minority in my eyes). To put it bluntly smart parts tried to rush the epiphany out and screwed up with no clamping feedneck or BOB (bolt out back) and thats the top and bottom of it. The scare mongering and rediculous comments were i think by ion owners who didnt want to upgrade or get a better marker its as easy as that. I can not see 1 thing on an ion that is better then the epiphany and for £160 brand firing new from the shop you cant grumple coz truelly they can rip big style!

Hope this helps mate :D
