Need a marker... but no nothing!

£200 Budget...

Just a question but is your total budget £200 or is that just for the marker itself?

If u just starting out and you have £200 total to spend on marker / air / hopper, it looks like an Ion is the one to go for. You would spend about £100 on a used Ion from here, £30 for a used egg, and £50 for a PMI 0.8L 3000psi air... and off you go.... this is of course presuming you have mask, battle pack, pots, etc... If u need that stuff then the change from your £200 would help towards those...

The Ion is almost infinitely upgradeable, and you can add bits to it as your budget allows...

Their are a lot of Ion haters out their, but at the end of the day most people who own one don't have problems. I've met people who have had teething and ongoing problems with Angels, DM's, Ego's etc etc etc, so it aint fair to say that Ion's alone are unreliable. My Ion so far has been great, and most people I have met have said the same.

If u got the extra money go for the recomended marker, if u aint consider an Ion.. we all capped at 15bps anyway and your ion will easily acheive that if your fingers fast enough....

Hope this helpful... oh... and I recomend LPS if you want to walk in and chat with them about your purchase.....

manchester,
an ion it is a cheap but fast gun, to be honest i think maintanace is a little hard if you are not experienced but if someone shows you how to then that wont be a problem;)
you can probably pick an ion up brand new now for around 130 pounds
hope this helps;)

if you get an ion you can ask about on these forums....

i jus think alot of people on here dont like ions... maybe cos everyone has em, or has had em because theyre the easy option..

there's a decent package from Just paintball... but im nota fan of their delivery times...

Looking at terms of budget...

I have a mask... Profilers.

I havent got a very high budget for everything. My main concern is the marker bottle and hopper.

I do like the PMR, But I will probably keep it in mind for the future, and start with an Ion.

The gun techs at the site where I work can teach me maintainence. So, lets sat £150 for the ion. Some people have reccomended a Halo hopper, What about air bottles.

Thanks for your help peeps.
