i got a neck protector for £3.

hardly something thats gonna break the bank when considering the sport we play!

It might not look cool, but then again, Im not a nancy boy playing paintball to look pretty.
I play paintball to run round a field like a loon with a gun and shoot people...

just my 2p/$0.039

Neck protector = GAY

Lets face it, paintball can hurt. If people are'nt prepared for a little pain, dont play.

It is possible to shoot folks AND look cool.

i've had my fair share of neck shots - but to be honest at the end of the day its all about likelihood of getting shot - you wear a mask and a playing top/overalls and 9/10 times you play that small exposed area wont get hit.

the one time you do, if you really cant stand it, then buy one. its about functionality not looks, you dont want to get a neck/throat hit in the first game and it cause you problems all day and the rest of your play will suffer cause you're scared you might get hit there again, roll with what you want to do mate.

you can get hit anywhere mate, but at the end of the day - its just another war story ;)

Heh, neck shots = serious difficulty breathing and coughing blood.

I don't see that some fecking elitist attitude towards being hardcore should stop people protecting themselves from what can be quite a serious injury. If you start going down that road, why not wear no box or any kind of downstairs padding? Why not just wear shorts? Why wear knee or elbow/forearm pads? Or gloves?

Wear some kind of neck protection. Use a bandana or something if you want to look ghetto, but a neoprene one works better.

Really???

I've been shot in the neck point blank on several occasions. I have never had difficulty breathing or coughed blood.
I've had both, but I got caught right on the adam's apple. I was REALLY choking (o_O).

also i have seen breaks on neck protectors before but have never seen one on a bandana acting as a neck protector. At the first UKM 5 man i got mugged by a kelly's player (after being left up front as the rest of my team got 4 for 1'ed   ) i felt 3 hit my neck and none of em broke............... the 12 that hit my face broke but thats not the point :D
