neck protectors?

are neck protectors any good? how much protection do they offer? are they worth getting?

they are seriously uncool

alot of old ballers wear them and look like ... well old ballers

they offer some protection from what ive heard

but in my opinion steer clear and wear a neckerchief if allowed, if not grin and bear it neck shots dont happen to me often (touch wood) but its due to playing properly

my advice save yourself the money and buy a cheap paisley neckerchief or not bother and spend the rest on paint for training

i'm paranoid and would never play without something around my neck.....not necessarily a bought neoprene job, but something. i use a section of old bandana.
saw a mate get shot in the throat without one - not something i want to experience.

I use a scrim to protect my neck like a scarf, until it gets too hot. Then I just turn up my collar.

Anyway, the neck isn't so important. It's your family jewels you need to be protecting!

yer that does not make you look like a 70's porn star

but seriously just wear what you feel comftable with i found the neck grauds got to hot. so i don't wear anything (make my son wear one though)

if u think its cool or if u think it works then thats cool but if ur goin for "the Looks" over Functionality idea then ditch the neck protection, it looks gay.
